Comprehensive eye examinations
We test for glaucoma, diabetes, cataract, macular degeneration. Our high- tech digital Retinal Camera is used to provide such information to asses and monitor these conditions through the simple process of photographing your retina.
Our highly qualified optometrists at St George Vision take a holistic view to testing. Not only do we assess the distance and near vision, but the whole visual system. This may include in evaluating the ability to focus easily from near to far and vice versa. The ability to converge (move eyes inwards) and accommodate evaluating if the eyes are working well together. At St George Vision we also assess if colored lenses would be beneficial. The colored lenses can enhance your visual perception and make your vision much more comfortable. In some cases, children may require eye exercises to enhance their visual symptoms. Vision Safety in the workplace
You only get one set of eyes, so we need look after them. If you are using any equipment that can send sparks, flashes or small particles in the air, safety spectacles are required. These lenses are usually made from polycarbonate, which is a material that can absorb high contact without shattering into small pieces. For some people, glasses aren’t suitable to their environment or they find spectacles restrictive to wear. For those people, corrective refractive laser surgery may be an option. Our optometrists at St George Vision can advise if your prescription is suitable for laser and refer you to the most appropriate surgeon.
